Welcome to Pinky Promise Prayers: You Don’t Have to Walk This Journey Alone
If breast cancer has become part of your story—or the story of someone you love—I want you to know something from the very beginning: you don’t have to walk this journey alone.
Pinky Promise Prayers was born from my family’s personal journey with breast cancer. My mother, my sister, my daughter, and I have each faced a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment in different seasons of our lives. We know something about the fear, the waiting, the tears, the questions—and also the unexpected moments of joy, grace, and connection that can meet us along the way.
Through it all, God has continued to remind me that even on the hardest roads, His presence remains. Sometimes His Light comes through Scripture. Sometimes through prayer. Sometimes through the person who sits beside us when there are no words to say.
Why Pinky Promise Prayers Exists
Pinky Promise Prayers was created to be a gentle place of faith, hope, and encouragement for women and families navigating breast cancer. Not a place where you have to pretend to be strong. Not a place where every question needs an answer. Just a place where you can come as you are and be reminded that God is near.
At the heart of this community is a simple framework I call LIGHT:
L — Lean on God
I — Invite Connection
G — Give Thanks
H — Hold Onto Hope
T — Trust Tomorrow to God
These five reminders became a way of returning to what matters when life feels uncertain: God’s presence, the people He places around us, gratitude for today, hope for what we cannot yet see, and trust for tomorrow.
A Place to Find Light Together
Pinky Promise Prayers is for the days when faith feels strong and the days when all you can manage is a whispered prayer. My hope is that this becomes a place where you can find encouragement, practical resources, prayer, and reminders of God’s presence throughout the breast cancer journey.
You are welcome here whether you are facing breast cancer yourself, caring for someone you love, or simply looking for a meaningful way to support someone walking this road.
As we begin this journey together, remember: you don’t have to have all the answers. You don’t have to carry everything at once. Just take the next step with God.
One day. One prayer. One promise at a time.
Pinky promise. 💗
